Privacy Policy
Personal Knowledge Archive is a private tool for preserving material that the user explicitly chooses to capture and organizing it into a personal knowledge archive.
Google Drive access
The application requests the Google OAuth scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file. This permission is used to create, read, update, and manage archive files and folders that the user explicitly selects for the application or that the application creates for the archive.
The application does not request broad Google Drive access for unrelated files.
Data processed
Depending on what the user chooses to capture, the application may process the submitted URL, retrieved page content, normalized text, capture metadata, hashes, timestamps, source identifiers, and the Google Drive file or folder identifiers required to store and read back the archive.
How data is used
Google user data is used only to operate the user's personal archive: storing captured source packages, verifying stored content, reading archive state, and maintaining archive metadata. The application does not use Google user data for advertising or for sale to third parties.
Service processing and later curation
Capture requests are processed by the application's Cloudflare-based capture service before archive files are stored in the user's Google Drive. The capture stage itself does not call the OpenAI API.
When the user separately and explicitly requests semantic curation in ChatGPT, selected archive material may be read from the user's archive and derived knowledge may be written to the user's private GitHub knowledge repository. That later curation step is separate from automatic capture.
Credentials and security
OAuth credentials are used only to authorize the Google Drive operations required by the archive. Secrets and refresh tokens are not intended to be displayed in application output or stored in the public website.
Retention and deletion
Archive files remain under the user's control in the user's Google Drive. The user can delete archive files from Google Drive and can revoke the application's Google Account access through Google Account security settings.
